We are currently seeking the following faculty candidates: Design/Engineering Instructor. The successful candidate will have a B.S. (or equivalent) in engineering or naval architecture and a minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in small craft design and/or engineering. The Design/Engineering Instructor is a full-time faculty member teaching and developing curriculum in one or more of the following disciplines across Landing School programs: naval architecture, marine engineering (small craft), structural design (metal and/or composite), CAD. Previous teaching/faculty experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates without previous teaching/faculty experience should be prepared to undertake an appropriate professional development program in the education field. Systems/Composites Lab Technician: The successful candidate will be familiar with small craft systems and composites. Previous professional experience as a technician is preferred, but not required. The Lab Technician will: assist teaching faculty members with setting up student labs and project work; repair and maintain program equipment and facilities as directed by teaching faculty members; work with appropriate staff members on maintaining and controlling inventory. The Lab Technician should be comfortable working with common hand and power tools. The Lab Technician will work with students in the lab setting on a daily basis, but will not have any full-time lecturing responsibilities. Ideal candidates for either position will have a sincere interest in working with students and helping them prepare for a career in the marine trades.
