PBB135SmallCoverOn the cover: A rotomolding technician pours pre-measured granular polyethylene into half of the cast aluminum mold for the main hull of a WindRider 17 trimaran. With the other half of this clamshell mold secured, the unit will be swung into an oven, where it will be spun and rocked at temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). The melted plastic coats the inside of the tooling to produce a finished hull. Story on page 46. Photograph courtesy WindRider.
