Vision Engraving & Routing Systems (Phoenix, Arizona) has unveiled a new oscillating knife option for its CNC routers. Made with precision-ground kinematics and a multiple ball-bearing drive motor, the oscillating knife enables routers to cut fabric, leather, rubber, and other non-rigid materials with accuracy. One machine saves space, time, and money.
Xantrex (Elkhart, Indiana) outfitted the 172-year-old whaling ship Charles W. Morgan with a pair of Xantrex Freedom SW 24V–3000W/75A inverter/chargers. Stacked in parallel configuration, the pair of inverter/chargers delivers a full 6,000 watts of continuous electrical power to the tall ship. The Freedom SW 24V can transfer AC loads to batteries in less than 20 milliseconds when a generator loses power and is appropriate for recreational and commercial vessels.
