Interlux (Houston, Texas) introduces the next generation in Micron antifouling to be applied specifically by professional paint applicators on boats over 82 feet. Micron® 99 features a high-solid, low VOC formula that helps yards meet local air-quality regulations while reducing labor costs. The new antifouling incorporates patented SPC (Self Polishing Copolymer) Biolux® technology for continuous polishing to help minimize drag, maximize speed and increase fuel efficiency. Available in black and blue, it is compatible with fiberglass, wood, steel, iron, and lead.
3A Composites (Sins, Switzerland) introduces AIREX® T10, a new PET-based structural core material for high-volume sandwich applications. The new material’s formability and processing have been improved compared to the company’s successful AIREX® T92, and it remains recycled and recyclable. Thanks to a very lean and highly-automated production process, T10 offers considerable total cost-savings for the end application.

WEST SYSTEM (Bay City, Michigan) recently obtained a technology that improves the level of protection for all of their protective clothing. Using a microporous film laminate material, their line of protective sleeves, aprons, lab coats, and coveralls offer strength, barrier protection, and breathability. The material has performed well in extensive liquid permeation and penetration testing with WEST SYSTEM epoxy resins and hardeners. The protective clothing line is suitable for multiple uses and intended to be sold separately.
