The Chesapeake Sailing Yacht Symposium

CSYS_LOGO

In mid-March our editor, Paul Lazarus, spent a few heady days as a host at the Second Chesapeake Power Boat Symposium in Annapolis Maryland—an ambitious forum with two days of presentations by top designers and engineers from around he world. He returned to us muttering of Savitsky, stepped hulls, more-efficient designs, and the marvels of brainpower and passion that seem native to this industry. Look for more from the symposium in the pages of Professional BoatBuilder.

Meantime, we’re reminded that the call for papers has already been issued for the next iteration of the more venerable sail-powered version of the gathering—the 20th Chesapeake Sailing Yacht Symposium, scheduled for Annapolis in March 2011.
